Download and print out this foldable origami Ariza to write and send to Imam Mahdi on the 15th of Shaban!
An Ariza is a letter written to Imam Mahdi (aj), anytime, though especially on the night of 15th Shaban, which can then be dropped into a sea, river, or well.
Imam Jaʿfar al-Ṣādiq (ʿa) said:
There is no matter that troubles a servant, such that he writes it on a piece of parchment and then casts it into flowing water or a well, except that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, fulfills his need. al-Kāfī, Shaykh al-Kulaynī, Wasāʾil al-Shīʿa, Shaykh al-Ḥurr al-ʿĀmilī, vol. 7, Bihār al-Anwār, 94
Imam Jaʿfar al-Ṣādiq (a) said: When you desire a need, write it on a piece of parchment, mention the name of the Master of the Time, then cast it into the water—for it reaches him. Bihār al-Anwār, vol. 94, Makārim al-Akhlāq, Shaykh al-Ṭabrisī
“Ariza is basically a du’a which, instead of saying, you write it down on a piece of paper. There are hadith where the Imams have told us that we can write down our prayer (du’a) in a paper and put it in a well or a river. See for example, a similar hadith in the last section of Mafatihu ‘l-Jinan under the section “ruq’a-e hajat.” How it reaches is not our concern. Allah (swt) surely has the power to know the du’a we have put in writing.” - Moulana Sayyid Muhammad Rizvi
