At Makers Educational Creative Col ‘lab’ orative for Arts LLC (MECCA) we run beginner creativity labs, make tangible products, and sell stuff to keep the mission going.

Founded November 2024 by arts education enthusiast & theatre practitioner Iman Doroudi, the goal of MECCA is to be a place where people of all ages can play, learn and create.

Right now, our focus is on publishing faith focused books & board games, and we’re working on expanding our offerings.

Inshallah in late 2026 MECCA will offer the (literal) tools needed to print, 3D print, cut, laser, engrave, and build introductory projects, as well as great pre-planned projects to replicate or inspire you to do your own thing. Join us (Inshallah in 2026) at a focused lab where a group learns something together, or an open lab to have access to making equipment.

And for littles under 5, MECCA will Inshallah offer play labs with lots of Islamic play resources including but not limited to books, toys, puzzles, bricks, masjid playhouses, and Arabic Montessori learning tools. Parents are required to stay and play for “Little Labs.”

In the distant future our vision is to run a Play & Create Cafe where children and adults can pop in and out at their leisure to engage with the toys, tools, resources, and community MECCA has available to foster Islamic entrepreneurial growth. Until then, chai, snacks & halal gummies will be available to purchase at labs.
